What does “Here We Still Stand” mean and what are we standing for? Our Reformation Conference in October 2017 will definitively answer that question. Following the conference, all of the media will be posted on this website as our gift to the world. In the meantime, this list of resources should get you pointed in the right direction as we celebrate the 500th Anniversary of the Reformation.

Protestant Reformation

Although there are several thousands of Reformational resources we could highlight, the following links are provided to help you better understand the genesis of the Reformation.

New Reformation Publications (NRP Books)
Offering important resources, reprinting excellent volumes in theology and apologetics, and releasing new publications such as Where Christ is Present: A Theology for All Seasons on the 500th Anniversary of the Reformation by Gene Veith and Dr. Montgomery.

Lutheran Reformation 2017
The 500th anniversary of the Reformation is right around the corner! This website offers free, downloadable resources, including introductory and focus videos, promotional and educational materials for congregations, church partners, and schools to use.

Conference Speakers

Many of our speakers are actively involved in some form of Reformational ministry through speaking, book publishing, podcasting, blogging, vlogging, and local church ministry.

Dr. Rod Rosenbladt | 1517 The Legacy Project
Are you searching for grace and the freedom that grace affords? 1517 Legacy serves people by providing a safe place for those broken by the Church, supplying theological resources to strengthen congregations, and modeling ways of engaging the culture in a manner that is thoughtful, courageous, and Christ-centered.

Matt Popovits | The Spiritual Howcast
The Spiritual Howcast offers simple and insightful answers to the spiritual questions of skeptical people. Also available on Matt's website are his talks from Christ Hold Fast events and conferences, along with information about his book on decision making, Tough Call: A Little Book On Making Big Decisions.

Jared C Wilson | For The Church
For The Church exists to engage, encourage, and equip the Church with Gospel-centered resources that are pastoral, practical, and devotional. To be For The Church means being intently, persistently, stubbornly, and eternally for the Gospel, because the Spirit working in and through the Gospel is what sustains and sanctifies the Church.

Elyse Fitzpatrick | Front Porch with the Fitzes
Front Porch with the Fitzes is a weekly chinwag featuring Elyse and two of her three kids, Jessica Thompson and Joel Fitzpatrick. Sometimes some unexpected folks might even drop by and sit for a spell. Every week they’ll jibber about family life, things that interest them in culture or news, and what they’re learning about the Lord.

David Zahl | Mockingbird
Mockingbird seeks to connect the Christian faith with the realities of everyday life in fresh and down-to-earth ways. We do this primarily via publications, conferences, and online resources. The name “Mockingbird,” which refers to the curious characteristic of the bird itself: to repeat the message it has heard, over and over again.

Dr. Scott Keith | The Jagged Word
The Jagged Word was born out of a distrust of bureaucracy and an unreasonable desire to make pietists uncomfortable. Other groups offer insights and commentary on the church and our world that seem to be driven by fear. In opposition to all of this, The Jagged Word is focusing on the freedom found in Christ crucified for us.

Daniel Emery Price | Christ Hold Fast
Christ Hold Fast is a collective of writers, creatives, women, men, speakers, pastors, broken individuals who are dedicated to teaching people that Christ remains faithful even when we are faithless. We promote the bad news that you are a greater sinner than you think and the good news that Christ is a greater Savior than you can imagine.

Steve Brown | Key Life Network
Key Life exists to communicate that the deepest message of the ministry of Jesus is the radical grace of God to sinners and sufferers. Because life is hard, grace is for all of us. We believe this grace is amazing, scandalous, free, inexhaustible, mysterious, abundant, irresistible, costly, gratuitous, wondrous, overflowing, and extravagant.

Chad Bird | ChadBird.com
Chad is an author and speaker who is devoted to honest Christianity that addresses the raw realities of life. The Gospel is for broken, messed up people like himself. His focus remains on God's Good News for our world: that Jesus is the friend of sinners. He was willing to give his life that we might have freedom and forgiveness in him.

Chris Rosebrough | Pirate Christian Radio
If you are looking for Christian programming that is truly Christ-Centered and proclaims the Good News of Christ's death and resurrection for your sins, then you will find PCR to be a refreshing stream of living water that quenches the thirst of your soul. Tune in to enjoy Christ FOR YOU talk radio that refuses to scratch itching ears.

Dr. Daniel Van Voorhis | League Of Faithful Masks
Faithful Masks champions a Judeo-Christian worldview of vocation as an effective antidote to the destructive narcissism of contemporary society. The League intends to establish local chapters throughout North America and Europe. Its name is derived from Martin Luther's description of human beings as "Larvae Dei" (or God's Masks).

Dr. Jeff Mallinson | Virtue in the Wasteland
Virtue in the Wasteland is a podcast that seeks and promotes goodness, truth, and beauty in our complex culture. Hosts Drs. Mallinson and Van Voorhis discuss ways to cultivate civic courage and navigate our complex cultural landscape by approaching a variety of subjects from the perspectives of history, ethics, religion, and healing.

Donavon Riley | Higher Things
The mission of Higher Things is to assist parents, congregations, and pastors in cultivating, encouraging and promoting a distinctively Lutheran identity among their youth and young adults. Higher Things is an organization of pastors, teachers, and laity that seek to teach the historic Christian faith to youth.

Jessica Thompson | Dropping Keys
Everywhere we turn, more lists, more to-dos, more Law. Dropping Keys seeks to be a place of proclamation that the “doors of bronze are shattered, and the bars of iron are cut in two” (Psalm 107:16). The Keys have been dropped! The promise of freedom is made actual in the life, death, resurrection, and ascension of Jesus Christ!

RJ Grunewald | RJGrune.com
RJ writes about the things he is passionate about. He believes theology shouldn't be something that is reserved for the academics and dead guys, but it should be something that flows into everyday life. Our theology shapes the way we parent, the way we relate to our spouse, the way we do our work, and the way we interact with our neighbors.

Erick Sorenson | Fifth Act Church Planting
Fifth Act was started by a cluster of pastors and churches from within the Church of the Lutheran Brethren who have a passion to see the Gospel of Jesus Christ spread around the world. We believe one of the primary ways God has chosen to do this (at this time) is through planting churches in the heart of major North American cities.

Dr. Adam Francisco | The Thinking Fellows
Thinking Fellows is a weekly podcast hosted by Drs. Rod Rosenbladt, Scott Keith, and Adam Francisco, and produced by Caleb Keith. Join these great minds as they explore theology, history, and apologetics. Every week they discuss a different topic from the Loci Communes (1521). Sit back, relax, grab a drink, and join the conversation!

Blake Flattley | Communion Arts
